Project WILD

What is Project WILD

Project WILD is an environmental education program for students of all ages. PW is sponsored in Georgia by the Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division and the Georgia Chapter of the Safari Club International. Over 50 Project WILD teacher training workshops are offered annually throughout the state. Project WILD also conducts Schoolyard Wildlife Habitat workshops, one facilitator workshop, one week long workshop and three advanced Project Workshops per year. Advanced workshop topics include all aspects of wildlife and wildlife habitats.

The Mission of Project WILD is to assist learners of any age in developing awareness, knowledge, skills, and commitment to result in informed decisions, responsible behavior, and constructive actions concerning wildlife and the environment upon which all life depends.

Project WILD Educator workshops are held throughout the state. Participants receive a set of activity guides which contain lively, hands-on, diverse and instructionally sound educational activities for all grade levels.
