National Archery in the Schools

The National Archery in the Schools Program is an approved physical education program within Georgia and has been in the state since 2003. There are now 47states as well as Washington DC, 5 Canadian provinces and 6 countries (Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, USA, Zamibia), with over 7 million students completing the program. DNR's Hunt and Learn Programs

Hunt and Learn workshops allow a new hunter to be immersed in the experience by providing hunter education certification (if needed) and actual in-the-field experiences. Check out our upcoming Hunt and Learn workshops.

Family Day at the Range

Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center and the Hunter Development Program offer a variety of firearm training courses to provide participants the opportunity to learn firearm safety and proper shooting technique. Introduction and Beyond the Basics training days are provided, so a novice or beginner can learn the fundamentals of the various shooting disciplines.

Scholastic Clay Target Program in Georgia

The Scholastic Clay Target Program exists to introduce school-age youth to the shooting sports and to facilitate their continued involvement by providing opportunities to safely and enjoyably participate and compete in a team-based sport led by trained adult coaches focused on enhancing the personal growth and development of their athletes.
